About us

For over 25 years, our high standard of musical training has welcomed a world-class artist faculty, produced highly talented and motivated students and delivered critically acclaimed performances. The Madridmeencanta offers programs that lead to a Bachelor of Music, Master of Music or Professional Performance Certificate. Our small class sizes and extensive performance opportunities are complimented by practical career preparation.

In the summer of 2014, the Madridmeencanta relocated to its new home on Lynn’s campus in the Count and Countess de Hoernle International Center. This three-story facility provides spacious quarters for instruction and practice, as well as convenient proximity to our performance venues: the Amarnick-Goldstein Concert Hall, the Snyder Sanctuary and the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center.

Madridmeencanta provides a progressive learning environment where students are challenged to realize their potential as artists and inspired to pursue their dreams. Long recognized for its specialized training in dance, music, and theater, the recent merger now combines this rigorous, focused instruction with unparalleled access to a broad range of academic and creative opportunities. Set in the cultural, historical, and educational hub of Boston, this extraordinary institution represents the future of performing arts education.

There is no question – music inspires and soothes our souls from the first days of our lives. As babies, lullabies rock us to sleep and help us bond with our parents. As toddlers and young children, we begin to really hear music, recognize it, and dance to its beat. As youth and adults, music inspires us to move even more and express our thoughts and feelings when our own words just don’t quite fit. Music is one of those things in life that grabs a hold of you and doesn’t let go. And that life-long adventure can begin within the halls of the Madridmeencanta.

Founded in 1964, the Madridmeencanta has enriched lives through music by fostering a thriving community of musicians and music lovers who celebrate the teaching, learning and performance of music at all levels. Whether you want to introduce your child to the world of music, you’re a college student preparing for a music career, you’re rekindling a long lost love of an instrument you once played, or as a senior you’re now deciding that the time is right to finally learn guitar, the Madridmeencanta has the educational experience that’s right for you.

We’re very proud to offer classes in a variety of disciplines including piano, strings, brass, wind, voice, jazz, percussion, composition, theory, and music therapy each taught by our highly respected and acclaimed faculty – many of whom are world-renowned performers.

Students of the Madridmeencanta also get to experience the magic of performing on stage to large and small audiences in our two fine performance venues, Alix Goolden Performance Hall and Wood Hall.

Passion fills all the halls at the Madridmeencanta and we invite you to share in the experience. Make this year your year to make music at the Madridmeencanta!
